What A Weekend...
Well as you'll see it was a very busy weekend! I figured I'd throw in a few slide shows to show as much as I could! Friday was National Frugal Fun so the kids and I had a very fun day and spent no money!!! We start the day off with going to visit some elderly and putting on a program for them! Then in the afternoon we went on a nature walk and then over to a students home where we "played" in the leaves, ate cupcakes, and had hot chocolate!! Lots of fun - YES - the kids really did have fun! Then Saturday was our annual teen hayride. It was a success!! God blessed us with PERFECT weather - including a full moon which added to the effect! For those of you who don't know...this is no ordinary hayride - always something to this hayride! This year we took a twist - we added "characters" - who did a bunch of fun scary things for the kids - by the way I HATE clowns!! Freaky they were! But the rest of us then were in charge of "throwing" things at the teens in the haywagons - things like wet dog food, mashed potatoes, rotten tomatoes and even hard boiled eggs! Yes - we shelled them! They smelled real bad though!! Don't worry we shot them with pickle juice from super soakers first - if they aren't wet these things don't stick as well!! ;-) Then we topped it off with blowing 25 lbs of flour on them with a huge leaf blower!!! So much fun! We had a feast of food afterwards and the gospel was clearly given! I'm excited to see how God is going to use this event for His glory!!
Then Sunday we had a surpise party for Giles! Mandy and I traveled up to Lakewood Sunday afternoon to go to an authentic candy store!! Come visit me and I'll take you too! We decided to celebrate with all the candy we had as kids! Poprocks - candy cigs...come on they are a classic aren't they!! - lemon heads - candy wax bottles - you know all that good stuff!!! We definetly surprised him! And had so much fun! I'm so blessed for the friends God has given me around here!
Speaking of "friends"....you may say "Only in Wisconsin"...but look what I shot!Whoohoo! My first deer! Actually if you believed that you don' t know me well enough. You should know that there is no way I could stay quiet that long out in a deer stand just to get one of these suckers - no no - in fact all I have to do to get this is have "friends"/enemies whatever you want to call them! Yes, I pulled up to my garage Saturday night and there she laid - dead as could be!! GROSS!!!!!! When I find out who left this surprise...well I'm gonna ....well yeah I really don't know for sure what I'm gonna do! Any suggestions?!!
